Coaching Skills Training
Coaching Skills Training ... we can provide training for leader as coach - helping establish your most senior people as effective role models for coaching; manager as coach - giving line managers the skills they need to use coaching style as one of their management tools; or for accrediting internal coaches. Cathy and her associates are qualified to deliver coaching skills training to ILM Level 7 standard.
Every time you tell someone what to do rather than coaching them to find their own solution, you rob them of a very real opportunity to learn.
Leader as coachResearch has shown that one of the key criteria for successful implementation of a coaching culture is support from the top. This training will equip you with coaching skills that you can use immediately to bring operational benefits to you and your team, skills that you can use in the run of your everyday working life. It will also help you model a coaching style, 'walking the talk' as the expression goes, giving credence to your desire to create or sustain culture change.

Coaching skills for managersCoaching is not the only useful management style. However, managers who don't have the capability or confidence to use coaching style when it is appropriate are working with one hand tied behind their backs. This course will equip managers to add coaching style to their managerial repertoire.

Coaching skills for coachesYou may be working as an independent coach, or want to be. You may be working full time as a specialist internal coach in your organisation, or want to be. Or you may have some specific formal coaching responsibilities as part of your role in your organisation - or want to have. This training can offer you an opportunity to increase your skills, benefitting from any experience you already have. We can offer a variety of trainings in Executive Coaching and Leadership Mentoring.
We also offer training in topics of continuing professional development (CPD) for existing coaches to help you ensure you continue to benefit from the initial investment in coaching skills training. |
There are of course moments that are not suitable coaching moments.
Try asking yourself, 'if not now, when?' |
What Cathy's clients say...
Cathy is very skilled as a trainer. She packs a lot into the course, and at the end, everyone in the course had learnt a lot, both about themselves and about coaching. She was particularly excellent at coaching us at coaching, providing feedback and drawing out learning points.
I really enjoyed learning with Cathy. She tutored us with an energy that was infectious, inspiring us to take charge of our own learning processes. Cathy would not let us stop at a pause or a full-stop in our thinking - I felt like she was always ready to ask the next question, to prompt us to continue to develop. I felt like Cathy's psychotherapy skills really enhanced our learning: as well as encouraging rigorous and reflective thinking, she also was able to empathically attune to and support out emotional needs during the course. I would highly recommend Cathy as a teacher. She has been a key figure in my development.
Cathy delivered the bulk of my executive coaching training for my ILM 7 qualification and whilst I had attended many coaching training sessions in the past, the learning didn't really land properly until my first two days with Cathy.
